An industry first SMS text messaging service has been developed and introduced by Martindales. Our in-house team has created a text messaging system which reminds the customers who consent to SMS text updates of surveying and fitting appointments the day before work is due to be carried out.
The sytem was developed by the Martindales IT team and was specially designed to monitor every diary entry for the Company’s surveyors and fitters and automatically send a text message on the afternoon prior to the date of the appointment.
Within days of launch the system reminded one customer in particular of a fitting appointment which he had forgotten. While it may be considered that simply rearranging the appointment is the way to deal with this situation, there would still have been costs involved and the text messaging service meant that the customer met the agreed appointment and our fitters were not sent on a wasted journey at an irrecoverable cost to ourselves.
Martindales are confident that this service will aid in the ever reducing life cycle time.
