An innovative agreement with ‘out of hours’ emergency securing partner Excel Security will see its nationwide teams utilise Martindales’ proprietary software on handheld PDA devices.
The key benefits of the development are increased control of the appointment and reporting processes, a robust audit trail, customer data protection and reduced claims lifecycle times.
Martindales pioneered the use of mobile technology and over the last eleven years has regularly enhanced its hardware and software to meet the changing needs of its partners and the insurance claims market.
The system drives a consistent process for recording of accurate data on securing jobs, including time on and off site, and allows the capture of photographs. Data can be transmitted real time from site to Martindales main system, enabling immediate arrangement of follow up survey appointments with customers.
Martindales Operations Director Paul Vernon commented, “We are delighted that Excel Security has demonstrated its commitment to our shared belief in enhancing service through technology.”
He added, “While all glazing service providers in this market utilise the services of out of hours securing partners to some degree, Martindales is unique in having both its in house and out of hours teams operating through the same processes and technology-led controls. The value of the data protection aspect cannot be emphasised enough – the carrying of customer details on paper should really be a thing of the past but it is still prevalent elsewhere in the market.”
Director at Excel Security, Kevin Burton said, “We believe that the implementation of this technology will enhance both our and Martindales’ ability to provide a more rounded offering to the insurance industry.”
